尊敬的书记、校长，各位老师，亲爱的同学们：

大家好！

今天学院在这里隆重召开2012级新生军训动员大会，揭开了为期15天军训的序幕。值此，我谨代表军区驻学院选培办和全体承训的国防生向各位新同学表示最热烈的祝贺，对学校提供给国防生这次难得的锻炼学习机会表示衷心的感谢！对长期以来支持国防事业的学校领导和全体教职员工致以崇高的敬礼!

同学们，考入学院是你们的光荣和骄傲，踏入西邮，你们的人生就步入了崭新的阶段！我们学院不仅是一所地方大学，同时它也是中国人民解放军后备军官选拔培训基地！在接下来的两周时间里，将由我校高年级的国防生带领同学们完成军训任务。按照《国防教育法》的规定，组织学生进行军训，这是贯彻国防教育法的具体行动，是推进素质教育、为国家和军队培养造就高素质国防后备力量的重大举措。学校组织你们军训，就是要让你们不但要学习专业知识，还要增强国防意识，学习基本的军事技能、军人作风、军人修养，为国防建设贡献自己的力量。

军事训练不同于在课堂上学知识，它包含着对人的锻造。军训的目的，除了练技术，练体力，提高军事素质外，更重要的是增强组织纪律性，锻炼坚强意志，树立献身精神，培养良好的军人作风，以及军人那种坚忍不拔的毅力和迎着困难勇往直前的拼搏精神。此外，通过军训，要培养同学们高度的集体荣誉感，增强爱国主义精神，增强爱校意识，增强纪律观念，促进德智体全面发展，养成守纪律，听指挥、举止文明的良好行为规范。
