课题的提出

随着科技时代和信息时代的到来，英语作为语言交流工具在传播信息中起着重要的媒介作用。信息资源全球化使人们必须通过大量用英语阅读以了解世界、获取信息。英语阅读作为语言技能的重要组成部分，是语言输入的的主要手段之一，也是语言输出的主要形式，在英语教学中占有重要地位。

《英语课程标准》明确规定了二级阅读目标是：能认读所学词语；能根据拼读的规律，读出简单的单词；能读懂教材中简短的要求或指令；能看懂贺卡等所表达的简单信息；能借助图片读懂简单的故事或小短文，并养成按意群阅读的习惯；能正确朗读所学故事或短文。至小学毕业学生要达到二级英语水平，要掌握600—700个左右单词，阅读总量累计10—12万字。

进展情况：

第一阶段：课题论证与设计

1、  选题，申报课题

我校是广东省一级学校，是一所百年老校，在区、市，乃至粤东地区享有盛誉。1994年开展了《小学各学科自主学习课堂教学模式与评价的研究》，此课题获潮州市第二届教育教学成果奖二等奖。XX年8月创办双语实验小学，自主学习、外语教学是我校的特色。在这个基础上，我们确立了培养学生的自主阅读能力为我们的研究方向，申报了课题。

2、  成立课题组，组织教师学习培训。

3、  对“自主阅读”课题研究现状进行调查、分析，收集资料。

4、  制定方案，开题论证。

5、  召开全体英语教师会议，要求以级为单位申报子课题，每位老师个人申报教研小专题。

这一阶段的目标已于XX年3月完成

第二阶段

根据研究目标、内容，制定阶段研究计划，开展实质性研究：

一、创设了多元的阅读环境

“随风潜入夜，润物细无声”、“近朱者赤，近墨者黑”，这些都可以用来说明“环境”给学生的教育和影响作用是潜移默化的、无处不在的。在阅读环境的创设上，我们采用软环境与硬环境、有声环境与无声环境、校内环境与校外环境三结合的模式。让英语随处不在，让学生时时、事事、处处感受英语，让学生沉浸其中，潜移默化地受到感染。

校园环境

1、双语标志

学校的校名、班牌、室牌、指示牌均采用中英文。如：走廊悬挂一些图文并茂的口号牌：“i feel good!”“i am the best!”“i love my school!”。学校的指示牌，做到“逢语必双”，为学生提供一个与生活密切相关的认读英语的环境。

2、英语长廊

开辟英语长廊，专门用来展览学生英语学习方面的优秀作品，作品有手抄报、小报制作、优秀作业、英语小诗创作、英语连环画创作等，为学生体验成功、展示才能提供机会。

3、英语栏目

学期初对全体老师进行了“英语口语100句”的培训，要求师生之间能用英语相互问好。“英语每周一句”长期坚持，天天出现在移动黑板。一学期一评比的“英语小天使”在学校充分展示着他们的风采。一周一次的“快乐abc”栏目走进了红领巾广播站，英语小主持人对全校各班送来的英语广播稿进行轮流主持。
