昭陵，因位于沈阳的北部，故又称北陵，它是清太宗皇太极及其皇后博尔济吉特氏的陵墓。它与新宾的永陵，沈阳的福陵合称“关外三陵”，也是这关外三陵中规模最大，气势最宏伟，也是风景最好的一座。昭陵建于1643年，建成于1651年，后历经康熙、嘉庆二帝增建而形成现在的规模，现占地45万平方米，布局遵循“前朝后寝”的原则，自南向北，由前中后三部分组成，第一部分为下马碑到正红门，第二部分为正红门到方城，第三部分是从方城到宝顶，今天我们就按这个顺序进行参观。
