in 1995, i entered the nanjing university of science & technology (nust) -- widely considered one of the china’s best engineering schools. during the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. i was granted first class prize every semester, and my overall gpa(89.5/100) ranked no.1 among 113 students. in 1999, i got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test. i selected the shanghai jiao tong university to continue my study for its best reputation on combinatorial optimization and network scheduling where my research interest lies.

918竖耻日，每年这个时候拉响警报声就是告诫人们：勿忘国耻、忘战必危。

过去我们中国被八国联军欺负，被日本人侵略，国家满目疮痍，人民处于水深火热之中。现在我铭家强大了，虽然美国等西方国家仍不断利用技术封锁、贸易战等手段打压我们。但现在的我们腰杆直了，不再一味委曲求全，我们要对世界上最强大的美国说不。这绝不是嘴上功夫，这是中国实力的体现，面对贸易战，国际上很多国家都选择我们做朋友，中国不再孤立无援。有国才有家，有了国家的强大，才有了我们的幸福。有了祖国的庇护，才有了我们安宁的生活。贸易战痛苦让我们下定决心要发展自已的核心技术，我们要发铭记历史，自强不息，我们不能再受制于人。

作为十七八岁的我们，正是热血青年，但我们中有不少同学对国事、天下事漠不关心，他们不思学习进步，甚至沉迷于手机，玄幻小说，在虚拟的世界里浑浑噩噩，难道我们00后是迷失的一代吗，您家的未来还有没有希望。作为热血青年的我们要站直身板，目视远方做一个大气而有理想的人。

其次，内外兼修，做德才并重的青年。青春是向上的。锦瑟流年，花开花落，在最能学习的时候你不能选择虚度，在最能吃苦的时候你不能选择安逸。做德才并重的人，既要学会学习，又要学会做人;既要有知识，又要有修养;既要有真才实学，又要能全面发展。

第三，注重锤炼，做情理兼修的青年。青春是高雅的。我们应该拥有一个怎样的青春?是在迷迷糊糊中虚度，还是在奋力拼搏中进取? “幸福都是奋斗出来的。”不断锤炼自己，战胜自己的粗心、自满和懦弱，让自己不断成长，逐步走向完美。在生活中，我们要注意行为规范，着装得体，展示青年人朝气蓬勃的精神风貌;在学习上，刻苦钻研，勇于拼搏，彰显青年人“舍我其谁”的豪情壮志。
