(5) Complete the 2-D draft of part and assembly.After two-week design work, we stepped to the next work, manufacture of theproduct. And then, all parts were made with various machine toolssuch as C lathe, wire electrical discharge machine, vertical machining center,and so on. Finally, we had toassembly all parts to the harmonic gear reducer,and test-drove it for many times. With five-week unremitting efforts, wesucceeded in the project of harmonic gear reducer and obtained the highestpraise. This special experience makes it very helpful for my further study.Firstly, I find the connection between theory and practice. Textbooks couldhardly cover everything, therefore, if we want to learn more, we should pursueevery opportunity to have practices. Meanwhile, I experienced the importance andmightiness of cooperation. In the project, we divided ourselves into severalparts, not only doing one’s own work well, but also cooperating with each otherharmoniously.

Another case worthy mentioning is my design project for graduation,“Manufacturing and Performance of Electroplated CBN Tools”. The main objectiveof this project is the manufacturing of the electroplated CBN (Cubic BoronNitride) wheels and the research of its performance when grinding theheat-resisted steel. I had completed three steps of task. Firstly, I took chargeof the manufacturing of electroplated CBN wheels, covering the following work:selecting electroplating solution, computing various electroplating parameterssuch as electrical current and temperature, adhering CBN to the tool base byelectroplating a nickel layer. After these basic preparations, I had to do thesecond part of the research work to compare grinding abilities of electroplatedCBN wheels with those of other wheels such as SiC wheels, Al2O3 wheels etc. Thispart of the work needs the researcher’s highly particularity and staidness. Idid the detailed work as follows: (1) Grind heat-resisted steel with variouswheels in the same grinding conditions. (2) Record data and compute the grindingratio of various wheels. I have always had a love for the performing arts since I can remember; for there has never really been anything else I have ever wanted to do apart from act. But acting is not just a subject to study people, narratives or social issues – we can discover so many things about ourselves, why we perform a character this way: is it because this person is so much like us? There have been numerous qualities I have discovered about myself while participating in drama. In teaching, I have learn how to really connect with people and help them to explorer what their feelings produce and more notably, how we learn about others, about a single person just by the way they say a monologue

To live a meaningful life everyday; to continually pursue my predetermined worthwhile goals. -My view of life.

Could I put myself in the life-threatening working environment? Could I sacrifice my life for the benefits of others? Some people may laugh at my crazy question. To me, that is a serious question I have come a long way to find my answer. “I am not sure whether it is worth to answer”; “What is the true meaning of that question?”

When I was a young child, I watched a soap opera that was about court. I was deeply impressed by the judge’s calmness and the lawyer’s eloquence and resource that were showed in this opera. From then on, I hoped to study law some day. Fortunately, I performed well in entrance examination and got enrolled into __ University. Then I chose law as my major without hesitation. At university, I studied hard and got GPA 3.4. What’s more, I broadly read all kinds of books, including philosophy, history etc. My teachers’ instruction strengthened my understanding of law and makes me understand the significance of law to a country. From my studies, I had a lot of fun and got more interested in law. Moreover, I actively participated in practice in holidays from common company to law firm and tried to apply the theory I had learned into practice.

This summer, I had my internship in counselor department in __ Group Co Ltd which was involved in a business contract dispute, which was submitted to China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission for arbitration. As a representative of the requested applicant, I took part in the evidence collection in the early arbitration stage and clearly explained why the 5% balance of goods was not paid on time. After knowing the whole case, I visited my teacher, an Arbitration Law professor, and listened to her opinions. Realizing the counterpart didn’t completely implement their contract duty, I gave reasons as follows: First, the counterpart company didn’t mention bearing issue, which caused that the delivered machines couldn’t be put into the plant because of the disqualification of workshop. Thus overhaul was necessary, which delayed production and resulted loss. Based on these reasons, the counterpart didn’t completely carry out its duty, so our party did not pay the balance on time. During this time, I found out the evidence and pictures that attested counterpart did not give reasonable suggestion and service, and made a statement in the court. Finally, the arbitration turned out that counterpart compensated our loss, in which the arbiters invoked the reasons that I stated. They had a panel made up of 3 lawyers and 5 company representatives as agents while we just had 3 persons—two lawyers and me. Under such condition, I was able to cooperate with them and clearly stated my opinions without any nervousness, which got their respect. This matter greatly inspired my enthusiasm on study.

In addition, I took part in the contact draft in several companies. In the process, when I met a lot of problems, I often turned to my teachers for help, which made good impression on them. As I cherished each practice, I studied my specialty and English hard. With effective study method and diligence, I did well both in English and law, which helped me a lot to get scholarship every year. On the other hand, my practice inspired me to study. In practice, I exercised my legal knowledge. I also realize the big gap between theory and its application—sometimes I have master the rules but I didn’t know how to use it in actual case. My practice experiences have not only strengthened what I learned but have supplied new knowledge for me, which is good for my future study and career.

In my study and practice, I admired outstanding lawyers’ eloquence and jumping thinking more and more. However, in China, most of lawyers come from theory study and those who can perform well in practice are insufficient. Moreover, after the China’s entrance to WTO, there are a lot of problems with Chinese law. I think, my internship experience is not enough. In practice, I could combine substantive law with procedural law to analyze case, but I still feel my theoretical foundation is not solid enough. What’s more, comparably speaking, the chances that I have to initiatively study and practice are not a lot. 我热爱学习。我始终认为实践是学习的最好方法。从小我就喜好做实验，有时不经意间就能发现许多规律——尽管后来都在书本上学到了这些。学习上我认真、努力，中考前始终在班内领先。由于中考成绩优异，我被_一中录取。来到一中的我更加努力学习。在历次期中期末考试中，大多数我都成绩领先。尤其是高三的最近的一次期中考试中，我取得了全班第三的好成绩，得到了老师、同学的表扬。今后我一定会百尺竿头更进一步，倾我所能在高考中取得满意的成绩，考进我梦寐以求的_大学。

我热爱科学。因此，从小我便对计算机编程产生了浓厚的兴趣。科教兴国，国家的未来是掌握在高科技人才手中的。__年，在学校老师的培养下，我在青少年信息学(计算机)奥林匹克全国竞赛中取得高中组贰等奖的好成绩。

Having a flair for Economics and accounting I have decided that I want adegree in Accounting and Finance or Management. The many brilliantrepresentatives of the management community around the world have strengthenedthat resolve.

When I worked in my school as a tutor of English as a Second Language forstudents from a community school in Muscat, I realized the importance of astrong leader who could organize, command respect, and be able to work well withothers. These ideas were further enforced by my month long internship atNovartis Pharmaceutical (Accounts and Finance Department and Human ResourcesDepartment).

I attended the Harvard Model Congress in Paris and won the Award ofDistinction. One skill in particular that contributed to this award was myconfident public speaking.

The last 4 months have been crucial in my learning of real world businessand economics. For my IB Extended Essay, titled “To What Extent Does Subway inOman Operate as an Oligopoly”, I set out to prove the oligpolistic structure ofthe fast food market in Oman. In this effort, I have come across many real lifecomplexities in pricing behaviour, profit making and other aspects of the Theoryof the Firm. While attempting to explain these alternate theories of firms Ihave developed a keen interest in analyzing and understanding how the world ofbusiness works.

After an undergraduate degree in accounting and finance or management Iplan to go onto post graduate studies and work on an MBA. A strong performancein a BA will allow me to move onto an MBA and only then shall I besatisfied.

For the last four years I have been part of our schools volleyball teamICE. We have retained our ISAC (Inter Schools Activities Conference, MiddleEast) title for four years. Playing in the power hitters (spiker) positionrequires immense physical fitness and to accomplish that I regularly go to thegym for fitness training. I am also part of my school track and field team.Being the fastest sprinter in the school since 11th grade the 100m, 200m and400m races are my specialty even though I still pursue long distance running. Inmy spare time I explore and master the computer as I am conversant with a VisualBasic Programming course. It is imperative for me to have the latest hardwareand software and I make it a point to install everything myself. I also learnUrdu as it is my native tongue and a link to my culture, to maintain that iscrucial.

Living in a diverse international community of over 52 nationalities hasallowed to me recognize and appreciate different cultures. With the experience Ihave and the strong motivation to craft a bright future I feel I can justify mydecision to pursue a career in Accounting and Finance or Management.

大学的课程与中学有很大不同，偏重在自学能力，而且专业课程的学习要求另一种思维方式。因此，在大一。大二，很多同学都表现出了不同程度的不适应，不知道该如何学习大学的课程。但是，某某同志适应能力很强，很快摸清了工商管理课程的关键，在很短的时间里就掌握了学习方法，而且其他任课老师都表示他对于新知识的接受能力很强，新学的知识他马上就能消化，当堂就能理解掌握。

可以这么说，班里的部分学生是拿着极其出色的高考成绩走进了我们学校，而某某同志凭借的则是他极强的自学能力和良好的学习方法。这一点，在每学期的期末考试上得到了很好地体现，尤其是在专业英语的期末考试中取得极其优秀的成绩，也是班里少数顺利通过英语四六级考试的同学。他对学习英语的热情和毅力是最让我感动的。除了学同学还校里足球队的主力队员，积极的参加校里组织的各项活动，有极强的组织和领导才能。他经常到我办公室或给我打电话，一起讨论他学习和生活中所遇到的问题，希望取得更好的学习成绩。概括的说某某同志是一个好学生。

我希望贵校能给他一个机会，让他在贵校严谨的学风和良好的学习环境中继续发挥他的特长，进一步提高专业知识，拓宽视野。望贵校考虑它的申请。
