March 15, 20xx, Xiamen, China. My phone rang the moment when I stepped into themain entrance of our condominium. It was my 68-year-old mum. 第四阶段：全年级公开演出阶段(也就是今天的展示比赛)。 特别是在小组训练阶段，各班以小组为单位准备节目。各班学习小组组长组织本组成员进行排练、训练。全年级同学积极参与，表现出很高的热情，课外活动时间，办公室、操场、宿舍区、花园里，校园处处有排练训练的同学、指导教师的身影。很多教师下班后不回家，对任教班级的各个小组一次精心辅导，很多其他学科教师为这次活动提出了建议意见，在这里，我代表八年级师生向参与指导的老师和班主任老师以及为这次展示比赛活动出计献策的老师们表示衷心的感谢。

要创业总得有个目标吧，下面简单介绍一下我的创业梦想。

当今世界能源十分紧缺，而我国的能源形势更是不容乐观，因此开发可再生性能源是一个很好的项目。可再生性能源开发与销售公司，这也是我的初步梦想，作为信电学院的一名学生我人为自己的创业方向还是比较符合自己的专业，我真的希望将来能有一天，信电的孩子们可以走进我的公司信电的孩子们不用再为了找工作而发愁。

1、政策支持，学校鼓励。近几年，国家实行了创新工程，进行了体制创新和技术创新。教育部门出台了政策和措施，支持和鼓励在校大学生休学励志创业，欢迎出国留学生回国励志创业。从去年起，高考也放宽了入学年龄和婚否的限制，许多大学也陆续实行了学分制，一些高校相继开展大学生励志创业活动，具备励志创业计划大赛，这些举措都为大学生投身励志创业创造了前所未有的有利条件。

In sports, we call for “fresh legs” when our health is on the decline, when our bodies are met with dis-ease, or when veteran players get sick or tired. I would submit that my generation, most of your parents’ cohort, is the veterans and frankly, we are winded. We’ve been in the game since the clock started. Now, don’t get it twisted. W still got it. Thank you for that. But we still need your enthusiasm, your emotional intelligence and your energy to impact the field of play in this game we call life.

Duke is a very special place. To get in is no small feat, but to get out is a real accomplishment.

Every one of you graduates is to be commended for your hard work and effort to this point. From our youngest grad at 20 years old to our most seasoned grad at 72, somebody say amen, you are all awesome and we are truly proud to welcome you into the Duke Family!

Sometimes it takes things falling apart, for better things to fall into place. Sometimes it takes the most uncomfortable path, to lead your life to the most beautiful place. Theres gonna be bad days, theres gonna be dark days, but youve gotta embrace it.

Because that pain is what makes you stronger. Failure is what makes you stronger.

You have to accept those down times, because once you realize those down times, are just as much part of life as anything else, youre able to strive again.

Youll never see the purpose of the storm, until you see the growth it produced. Youll never understand why you went through what you went through, until you see the strength, the power, the resilience that it built inside of you. Ask yourself why.

But this why is a better why, "Why am I doing this? Why am I failing? Why am I even getting myself in a situation where I could fail? Because I have a dream. Because I have goals."

Obviously, social media has transformed our lives and our relationships. It obviously has many advantages, allowing us to share news and information quickly with people around the world. But it also heightens our sense of outrage and speeds up arguments, depriving us of the time and space for careful reflection.

Bombarded with notifications, pressured to respond before the media cycle turns over, we tap out our position – our opposition – in seconds. It’s easy to be against something in fewer than 280 characters. It’s far more difficult to articulate what you are for – and to do it at warp speed.

我叫，我爱好唱歌、跳舞，特长英语、音乐。这次，我要竞选的职位是英语课代表。

我喜爱英语，成绩更是在班里名列前茅。甚至有时候玩游戏我都玩英语的，虽然有些我不会念，但慢慢来，总是能学会的。再说了，这几年我一直都是英语课代表，有一些经验，我有责任、有能力为英语老师做好我力所能及的工作。

如果我当上了英语课代表，首先我会比以前更加努力，使同学们更加信任我，另外，以前，有许多同学对我有意见，说我不能当好这个英语课代表，这次，我会用实际行动来证明自己：我能当好这个英语课代表。

我会带领大家进行一些关于英语的活动，比如说：一月总结、单元总结等。我们可以做小报、写反思等形式开展各项主题活动，我坚信，在我的带领下，我们班的英语成绩会直线上升!

即使我当不上英语课代表，我也不会气馁，依然会继续帮助大家，请大家投我一票吧!

the more youre thinking back to those original goals, the easier it is for you to get back up and say, "Alright, it might be difficult, it might be painful, it might be stressful, there might be no people that believe in me, but I believe in myself."

You know it might have been the case that you should have gone through that harsh break up, that you should have gone through that heavy loss, just in order to find something even better.

But the only way to get to that even better, is to get back up and work. To get back up and put yourself out there again. And arise from that again, stronger, better, smarter, ready to grasp that new opportunity.

You gotta believe the tables in your life will turn. That pain will become power, that weakness will become strength, and that confusion will become peace. Better things are coming for your life.

Everyday is a new beginning. Its time for you to start treating it that way.

I grew up in a very small country town in Victoria. I had a very normal, low-key kind of upbringing. I went to school, I hung out with my friends, I fought with my younger sisters. It was all very normal. And when I was 15, a member of my local community approached my parents and wanted to nominate me for a community achievement award. And my parents said, "Hm, thats really nice, but theres kind of one glaring problem with that. She hasnt actually achieved anything."And they were right, you know. I went to school, I got good marks, I had a very low-key after school job in my mums hairdressing salon, and I spent a lot of time watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Dawsons Creek." Yeah, I know. What a contradiction. But they were right, you know. I wasnt doing anything that was out of the ordinary at all. I wasnt doing anything that could be considered an achievement if you took disability out of the equation.

敬爱的老师，亲爱的同学们：

大家上午好!

俗话说：“不想当将军的士兵不是好士兵!”那么，不想当班长的学生也就不是好学生!

今天，我有幸站在讲台上竟选班长这个职位。我是一个热爱学习、热爱祖国、热爱班级的女生。我助人为乐、心灵宽阔、学习认真，语文数学考试大约都90分以上，语文更是我的拿手好戏，我的作文语言幽默，内容清晰，沁人心脾。我的字也算得上是龙飞凤舞!所以，我希望老师同不们都投给我神圣的一票!

虽然我有优点，但我也有自己的缺点，比如：做什么事都慢、胆小、自理能力不太强等等。但是“世上无难事，只怕有心人。”“有志者，事竟成。”这两句名言时刻提醒着我，我一定会痛改前非，如果再加上同学们和老师们对我的鼓励和培养，我就一定会扬长避短的!

别看我外表看起来是个柔弱的不淑女，担不起班长这个重要的职位。其实，我内心里还住着一个刚强的“女汉子”只不过没有发泄而以。最后，我希望大家给让我当选班长，锻炼我的能力，激发我搅动人!如果我落选了，那么下学期我就会尾随而上，不当班长不罢休!

You might never fail on the scale I did, but some failure in life is inevitable. It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.

Failure gave me an inner security that I had never attained by passing examinations. Failure taught me things about myself that I could have learned no other way. I discovered that I had a strong will, and more discipline than I had suspected; I also found out that I had friends whose value was truly above the price of rubies.

The knowledge that you have emerged wiser and stronger from setbacks means that you are, ever after, secure in your ability to survive. You will never truly know yourself, or the strength of your relationships, until both have been tested by adversity. Such knowledge is a true gift, for all that it is painfully won, and it has been worth more than any qualification I ever earned.
