i am a third year master major in automation at shanghai jiao tong university, p. r. china. with tremendous interest in industrial engineering, i am writing to apply for acceptance into your ph.d. graduate program.

education background

in 1995, i entered the nanjing university of science & technology (nust) -- widely considered one of the china’s best engineering schools. during the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. i was granted first class prize every semester,in 1999, i got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.

at the period of my graduate study, my overall gpa(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. in the second semester, i became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. this year, i won the acer scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. presently, i am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of excellent graduation thesis.

research experience and academic activity

when a sophomore, i joined the association of ai enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. with the tool of opengl and matlab, i designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. it is now widely used by different research groups in nust. i assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for nanjing sewage treatment plant. this was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

in retrospect, i find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the ph.d. program. my future research interests include: network scheduling problem, heuristic algorithm research (especially in ga and neural network), supply chain network research, hybrid system performance analysis with petri nets and data mining.

作为供应商我认为应该做到主动为先，确定目标市场，寻找交易产品和交易对象，同出口商建立业务关系，为销售做好准备，这都应该及时主动。供货商的交易对象是多家的，在simtrade模拟系统中，供应商必须及时到业务中心的工厂里查询产品的生产成本，并不断核算成本、费用和利润，以期获取最佳成交条件和价格，这如同显示生产中，工厂的厂长要及时到生产车间了解产品的生产状况一样。

出口地银行和进口地银行从事的业务主要是信用证业务、单证业务、贷款业务，一笔国际业务的顺利完成是离不开银行的，尤其是以信用证结汇的贸易，有了银行的信用担保可以确保进出口方的利益的顺利实现。

总体来说，simtrade贸易模拟系统是一个非常好的贸易实习系统，对我们在实际业务中的流程给予了详细的指导，对可能出现的问题均有所涉及，为我们将来处理此类问题提供了模版。虽然实际业务的开展远没有模拟系统如此顺利，但模拟系统为我们提供了一个演练的平台，通过今天的模拟操作，我们可以熟练掌握实物的基本流程，为今后的工作做好充分的准备。同时，操作过程中暴露出来的英语基础的薄弱、基本知识的不熟练等问题也为今后的学习指名了方向。只有通过刻苦的学习，加强对业务知识的熟练掌握程度，在现实的工作中才会得心应手，应对自如。

我认为本次实习时间虽不太长，但是同学们对国际贸易的了解程度已不再停留在初级阶段，对业务流程目前已经达到了相当的程度，基本实现了如下基本目标：

1、为未来的实际业务的开展大下了坚实的理论基础。

2、交易前的基本工作已经熟练掌握，交易的准备工作已经知道如何去做。

3、能够熟练地使用电子邮件进行业务磋商，建立业务关系并掌权往来函电的书写要点和技巧。

4、对各种贸易术语有了更进一步的掌握，能够灵活使用价格术语和结算方式，在成本、费用和利润的核算方面能够很大程度的减少误差。

5、能够正确、熟练的使用价格术语和结算方式签订内外购销合同，并能在结汇方面掌握基本流程。

6、在单据填写方面，能够比较流利的填写各种单据，并能够掌握其中的要点。

7、能够掌握进口商、出口商和供应商的基本业务流程。

8、对两年来所学的国际贸易知识进行了一次系统的回顾，起到了温故知新的作用。

我知道凭借我目前学习到的东西还是不能完全的将自己的专业知识学全的，但是我想，只要我不断的努力和奋斗，前面的苦和痛算什么呢，我知道“不经历风雨，怎么见彩虹”，这就是我的座右铭，它会指导我一直向前的!

在局领导的统一部署和领导下，根据项目部安质部关于加强消防安全工作的一系列指示精神，我项目部于20__年7月开始，在所属施工范围内开展了夏季消防安全大检查活动。现将夏季消防安全检查工作情况总结如下：

一、检查的主要内容

宿舍电器、插座板、电线是否老化、有没乱拉乱接电线情况，宿舍没人时，充电器、空调、电扇是否关了，伙房用电是否符合规定、煤气罐是否漏气、开关是否有松动情况存在等。

二、检查中存在的问题及整改措施

1、消防安全责任不强，消防安全制度不够健全。以建设“平安孟平二线复线工程”为主线，进一步贯彻落实中铁七局四电分部安质部关于加强消防安全工作的指示精神，巩固消防安全专项整治成果。我驻地就此项消防检查工作成立了消防安全检查领导小组，建立了消防安全制度，全面落实消防安全责任制，做好消防安全检查工作，坚决遏制重特大火灾事故和减少一般火灾的发生。

2、项目部生活办公区灭火器材不健全，现已整改到位。

3、工人的消防安全意识淡薄，已对所有的工人已开展消防安全教育培训，工人的消防安全意识有所提高。

4、针对个别宿舍电器、插座板、电线存在老化的问题，我驻地领导要求全面排查各个隐患点，凡是有问题全部更换成新的，现已整改完毕。

4、针对驻地院子里存在乱拉电线的问题，领导已要求全部进行拆除，由专业的人员进行统一安装，现已整改完毕。

5、在检查时，发现个别宿舍没人时，电扇没关。要求所有的工人离开住所的时候，检查电器是否安全关闭，并派专人进行检查。对于没按要求做的，发现一次罚款100元。

6、由于伙房这一块作为检查的重要一项，所以检查非常严格。主要检查伙房的用电安全，煤气灶的使用安全。检查时没有发现关于这方面的问题，但伙房的安全管理制度未上墙，厨师未按要求统一着装，另外专门给伙房配备了灭火器，并把灭火器的正确使用方法交给了厨师。

总之，以上发现的问题只是暂时的，我驻地将严格按照上级的要求认真履行消防安全责任，做到安全无小事，警钟长鸣，尽一切努力减少消防隐患，防止安全事故的发生。另外，我驻地将经常性的开展消防安全演练和教育培训工作，让每一个人永记安全第一。
