烟草被视为世界上危害最严重的社会问题之一，当前全世界烟民已达12亿，每年因吸烟导致疾病死亡者约300万。在我国有3.5亿吸烟者，其中未成年人吸烟比率呈逐年上升趋势。我国18周岁及以上居民吸烟率为31.06%,现在吸烟率为27.65%,男女现在吸烟率分别为54.25%和3.44%,男性高于女性。

当孩子还未成年时，家长有责任关心孩子的健康，制止孩子的不良行为，积极引导他们健康发展。研究证明，10岁以下的儿童对烟普遍反感，认为吸烟又呛又难闻，11-13岁的儿童，才逐渐对吸烟产生好奇心，跃跃欲试，15岁以后则开始把吸烟作为自己长大成人的”标志，由此可见，11-15岁是中小学生有可能染上吸烟嗜好的危险年龄。

吸烟对发育成长中的青少年的健康危害很大，对骨骼发育、神经系统、呼吸系统及生殖系统均有一定程度的影响。由于青少年时期各系统和器官的发育尚不完善，功能尚不健全，抵抗力弱，与成人相比吸烟的危害就更大。

烟草中含有的大量尼古丁对脑神经也有毒害，它会使学生记忆力减退、精神不振、学习成绩下降。调查发现，吸烟学生的学习成绩比不吸烟的学生低。此外，青少年正处在性发育的关键时期，吸烟使睾丸酮分泌下降20%-30%，使精子减少和畸形;使少女初潮期推迟，经期紊乱。青少年吸烟还会使冠心病、高血压病和肿瘤的发病年龄提前。有关资料表明，吸烟年龄越小，对健康的危害越严重，15岁开始吸烟者要比25岁以后才吸烟者死亡率高55%，比不吸烟者高1倍多。

为了能让您的孩子健康成长，给家长们几点建议：

1、在家里监督好您的孩子，不要让孩子因为好奇而吸烟，承担起在家庭的教育责任。

2、家长是学生的第一任老师，您的一举一动直接影响着您的孩子。如果您正在吸烟，为了您的身体更健康，希望您戒烟，成为孩子的表率;如果您烟瘾比较大，立即戒烟有困难，希望您尽量减少吸烟，不要在孩子经常活动的地方，如客厅、房间抽烟，更不要当着孩子的面吸烟。

3、为了保障大家的身体健康，请您自觉遵守国家相关禁烟规定，不在公共场所吸烟，不在人群聚集的地方抽烟，不要让您的孩子或其他未成年人为您购买烟。

4、不要带您的孩子到吸烟的场所去，远离香烟的危害。

6、多种植花草树木，以美化校园环境;

7、严格要求同学们克制自己，不说脏话，注意礼貌行为规范，做个文明的小学生;

8、严禁学生们一哄而上下楼梯，那容易造成事故，每一个同学都应自觉遵守纪律，班干部维持秩序，做到快、静、齐。
