课题名称：小学英语会话课教学方法研究

课题研究的背景和意义

随着新课程改革的深入推进和《义务教育英语课程标准》的实施，英语课堂教学模式的研究引起了国内众多专家和基层教师的思考，小学英语课堂教学改革不仅是教学理念的更新、教学角色的转换、课堂环境的创新，而且课堂教学模式、教学方式、课堂气氛等诸多课内因素都面临深刻的历史性变革。如何设计适合国内小学生身心发展规律、适应小学生学习特点的课堂教学模式，配以相应的教学方式方法对于小学英语教学改革尤为重要。并且，小学英语综合语言运用能力、语言技能、语言知识、情感态度诸多目标，迫切要求广大教师充分发挥主观能动性，切合学生实际，促进课堂教学模式及相应教学方法的多样化。

近年来，在英语教学日益受到社会重视的同时，英语教学的效果也备受质疑。我们不难发现，许多学生在经过了多年的英语学习后，仍不能用英语经行有效地交流，究其原因，与我们在启蒙阶段便开始使用的传统的教学方法有关。在传统的以语法为中心的教学中，语法处于核心地位，不少同学简单地认为语言学习的主要任务就是记住一系列的句法规则，然后再记住足量的单词。在用英语表达时，只要把单词往句子框架里填充就可以了。这一做法所导致的直接后果便是学生对语法掌握得相当好，单词量也很大，但在口头表达中存在障碍，一方面缺乏自信，表意困难，另一方面所表达的英语不“地道”，表意不准确，词语搭配和句子结构存在明显的中文痕迹。尽管近年来，我国的英语教学大力提倡交际法，重视交际能力的培养，上述问题却始终没有解决。

目前，小学英语教学中仍然普遍以teacher-centred为主的英语教学方式，与《英语课程标准》中提出的要求不符，英语老师作为新课改的先锋，理应逐渐改变这一灌输式的教学模式，寻求更为有效的课堂教学方法，尤其是需要寻求可真正应用于常态课的可操有效教学模式，从而提高会话课的教学质量，使学生真正能听会说，实现语言学习的人文性与工具性作用。因此，会话课的课堂教学方法研究具有重要意义。

课题名称的界定和解读

《英语课程标准》指出，英语课程改革的重点就是要改变英语课程过分重视语法和词汇知识的讲解与传授，忽视对学生实际语言应用能力的培养的倾向，强调课程从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发，倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径，发展学生的综合语言应用能力。

众所周知，语言学习贵在表达交流，要使学生具有一定的交际应用能力，就必须注重口语表达的培养，因此，在新课程标准的理念的指导下，在更新教育观念时，要根据小学生身心发展特点(善模仿、可塑性强、语言识记能力强)，用科学原理指导会话课的教学，激发学生的学习兴趣，为提高学生英语口语交际能力提供方法与建议。

语言交际有口头和书面两种交流形式。口语交际即从听别人说话进而模仿说话，逐步掌握和运用各类词、句，并按照语言表达规则表达自己的意思，用语言和别人交流。小学3-6年级学生处于9-12岁之间，这个年龄阶段的孩子具有好奇心强、好活动、爱表现、善模仿等特点。他们的听觉敏捷、模仿力和记忆力强、形象思维好，他们爱玩、爱唱、爱画、爱游戏、爱活动。根据以上特点，以提高学生英语口语交际能力为切入口，指导会话课的教学，有利于提高学生综合语言的运用能力。

课题研究的步骤和举措

1、准备阶段：XX年5月-9月。课题准备阶段，主要采用文献法、调查法、网上查资料法对课题提出的背景、课题研究的必要性和可行性、课题研究的主要内容等进行全面、深入的论证。根据我校的教学情况，收集老师们在平时教学工作中的一些好的做法和成功的经验，以及困惑或需要解决的问题，把它确定为研究课题，制订研究计划，完成课题方案的论证。本课题正式立项后，将重点进行会话课教学中的教学设计理念与教学手段应用研究，进一步明确研究方向、理清研究内容、调整研究方案。

2、实施阶段：XX年9月-XX年1月。依据初步提出的行动研究方案，开展教学实践，实施课题研究。首先确立研究对象，立足本校实际，五年级学生已经有了一定的语言基础，学生对英语学习有了更高层次的要求，学习好奇心和学习热情也随之增加，但是因为8—10岁的孩子集中注意的能力较差，有效地会话课堂设计必然能鼓励更多地孩子积极参与到各种教学活动中，培养孩子们的兴趣，让英语课堂更贴近学生的生活，更富童趣。使他们初步建立学习英语的自信心，养成良好的学习习惯，形成有效的学习策略，发展自主学习能力与合作创新的精神，培养学生初步运用英语交际的能力。其次选取教学内容：在日常英语教学中将课题进行付诸实施，通过各种方法进行课题研究，不断修改方案，不断完善，不断总结，不断提高，总结、概括形成新的认识，及时写研究体会，并通过公开课等形式请专家指导，经常与专家交流，形成阶段性小结。实践的策略是从学到教、从课堂教学到课外辅导;教师既是研究者，又是行动者;在不断的实践中反思、调整，探究相对优化的策略，总结每一点行动研究的经验。本阶段将采用行动研究、比较研究、个案研究、文献资料研究等方法相结合的方式，具体研究内容如下：

实施步骤：

(1)小学英语会话教学内容研究：教学内容是教学之本，孩子学习英语年龄越小，我们越要注重教育的生活化。从生活经验中选取会话教学内容，使孩子们感到亲切、自然、易学，

能使孩子适应学习、获得经验、得到发展。目前使用的教材多为内容生活化的课本，话题包括：数字、颜色、身体、食品、玩具、个人情况、家庭、学校、朋友等。这些都莫过于家庭生活和社会生活，我们很容易将教学内容和生活实际联系起来。所以，我们可结合教材内容，通过丰富多样的形式，让学生学会表达，并乐意用英语交流。

(2)小学英语会话教学的课堂教学模式研究：以英语课堂教学为主要平台，组织与策划以“会话教学”为主题的研讨活动，并在不断的听评课、改进与反思等环节中，发现和总结有效的英语对话教学模式，从而提高学生用英语交流的有效性。

(3)小学英语会话教学的有效策略研究：包括学生英语会话学习的有效性研究、教师会话教学的有效性研究和有效的课堂活动研究。

(4)以“评价和作业”为桥梁，实现小学英语会话教学的再拓展的研究：重视课外作业的趣味性与实用性，借助形成性评价，激发学生“离开课堂却仍想英语对话”的欲望，让英语这门语言真正做到学以致用。

3、总结阶段：XX年3月-XX年5月。课题组整理资料，进一步理清研究成果，进行归纳和提升;同时，将研究成果再进行汇总、整理，撰写研究报告;开课题总结会，请专家组审核，最终达到整个课题的研究目标。
