翻译是一门必须亲自动手实践的课程。不亲自动手，翻译水平如何就永远无法得知，也永远提高不了。这次的翻译实习暴露了我在翻译上的缺点和不足，也为我今后的努力指明了方向。在今后的学习过程中，我会针对不足之处加以训练，并且多读多看各方面书籍和新闻来扩大自己的知识面。这不仅仅是翻译的要求，对于提高我们的自身素质也很重要。 我们的主要任务是进行英译汉和汉译英的翻译实践，为此在实践的过程中，我总结了四种必备的翻译工具：一是灵格斯翻译工具，里面可安装各式的词典;二是百度搜索工具;三是有道词典;四是英汉词典;五是汉英词典。翻译的过程如下：首先可以现在灵格斯里查询不懂的单词和词组，寻找最符合原文的解释。然后采取同时在百度和有道词典搜索的做法，并对同种搜索工具搜索结果进行比较。他们有着各自的优缺点。所以我们最后用到的就是英汉和汉英辞典，可以对我们翻译之中的词汇，进行最后的确认，确定出最最准确的译法。 在翻译过程中也遇到到了一些困难，这说明在漫漫的英语学习过程中我还要继续努力。学如逆水行舟，不进则退，只要每天我认真学习，那就是一种进步。人生总归会有许多挫折，但我们若不跨过这道坎，就不会有进步，滞留不前。我们要用有限的生命创造无限的价值，勇敢面对每一个挑战。

翻译是运用一种语言把另一种语言所表达的思维内容准确而完整地表达出来的语言行为。当然纸上谈兵是无稽之谈，光有理论知识而不实践操作也是没有用的。有位翻译家这么说过，“学翻译犹如学游泳。只在岸边看别人游，或只听教练讲解，是学不会的。”所以要想提高自己的翻译能力，一定要通过实践。实践可以分为两类，直接的实践和间接的实践。 所谓直接的实践，就是自己亲身参加的实践，也就是自己动手翻译。一回生，二回熟，日积月累，第一手经验多了，做起来得心应手，翻译能力有所提高。所谓“熟能生巧”，就是这个道理。但自己能译的东西是有限的，从这种实践中得出的经验也是有限的。因此，还需要借助于间接的实践。 所谓间接的实践，就是研究别人的译文。比如，一篇文章在手，准备翻译，这时先找一些有关的资料或同类文章的译文看一看，在词语和风格方面定会有所借鉴。别人的译文是别人直接实践的产物，看了别人的译文，就是从事间接实践。为了通过实践，总结自己的不足，以便在今后的语言实践中自己翻译水平和能力能够得到相应的提高和发展，我在完成计划工作后，我开始了我的翻译实习工作。

我学到很多东西知道了翻译的具体过程和基本要求，了解到自己不足的地方，清楚了自己应向哪个方面努力。在实习期间从事大量中英文文字翻译。以后，我在学习上应理论联系实际，从点到面的全面学习，避免拿以前应付考试的态度来学习; 在工作中应该

其一是加强沟通能力。专业知识固然重要，但良好的沟通能力是让别人发现你能力的前提。如果以后将从事商务方面的工作这点更为重要。表面上看来，它只是一种能说会道的能力，可实际上它却包罗了一个人从穿衣打扮到言谈举止等一切行为的能力。

其二是要发扬团队精神，不论是在学校生活还是在社会生活中，只要是处在一个集体中这一点都会起到非常重要的作用。而因为是独生子女的关系，在这一方面我做的很不够。

其三是要加强英语的学习。作为自己的专业，在这样的小城市中虽然因为就业面太窄可能无法频繁的应用，但却可以成为我的优势。但在实习的过程中这个优势却并不突出，这都是因为我的专业水平有待提高。

在今后的学习，我要通过扩大词汇量增大阅读面来提高自己的英语水平。并且要拿到大学英语四极证，否则作为英语专业的学生就太没有说服力了。这样就会在我求职的过程中增加一快很有分量的砝码。

这次实习增进了同学之间的感情，虽然旅程很长、而且景点对我们来说也没有新鲜感，但是我们依旧一路欢声笑语。同时，这次实习也加深了我们对学校的了解。

其实最重要的还是英语，马上就大三了，可是我们还存在着语音语调的问题。导师还当众说我的发音很土，好丢人啊。虽然说内容为王，但是作为英语专业的学生，口语是个门面，口语之于英文就像书写之于作文。我真的好惭愧，学了那么多年英语，连简单的good morning发音也发不标准。我的口语问题早在大一时就被发现了，不过一直没有采取拯救行动，现在真要高度重视了，否则大学四年毕业了，还是一口土土的英文。很多东西，用中文表达出来毫无压力，可是用到英文就发愁了，词汇不足、表达不清晰、反应不够迅速。

导师说这次实习是他们共同精心策划的，并且和很多企业一起商讨他们到底需要什么的人才。学习不能只停留在书面上，要运用。企业希望我们一毕业就能为他们所用，他们不愿意多花精力和时间来锻炼我们。天下老板一般黑呀!不过这也是我们必须具备的技能，有压力才有动力。希望我们在剩下的两年时间里，不浪费光阴，努力提高自身各方面的技能，做一个合格的大学生，将来更好的服务社会，实现自身的人生价值。

二、乙方选定口译员后，自____年____月____日开始任用，任用期(包括为期____天的试用期，在试用期内乙方不满意口译人员翻译的，有权要求甲方于试用期内换人。)至____年____月____日结束，共计______天。工作地点为_____________________。

三、译员承担因自身差错所造成的安全责任，非译员自身差错所造成的安全责任由乙方承担;译员应尽力注意和防范安全事故，乙方应提请译员注意安全事项并提供必要的防范手段。乙方负责安排并承担译员的食宿交通费用，译员的住宿标准为________________，膳食标准为____________________。

四、译员服务时间为每周5天工作制，每天8小时，按国家有关规定休假。需要加班时乙方与译员自行协调。译员工作时间以_____的考勤为依据。

五、双方议定正常上班翻译费为________元/日，平时加班按________/小时加班工资计费，节假日按________/小时加班工资计费，加班费用以译员实际加班时间计算。

七、译员应尽力提供正确无误的翻译。如甲方提供的译员在服务过程中出现不能胜任翻译、严重违反乙方规章或向外籍人员收取小费的情况，乙方有权立即停止译员服务并及时通知甲方更换译员，更换后仍不能胜任或仍严重违反乙方规章的，乙方有权终止合同。因上述原因更换译员而产生的交通费用由甲方承担，因上述原因更换译员最长缺勤期限为____天。

八、双方对在本合同履行过程中所获知的对方秘密必须严格保守，未经对方同意不得向任何第三方泄露。

若在合同期限内任务提前结束，乙方应提前____天通知甲方终止合同。若在合同期限内甲方确定提供不了译员，甲方应提前____天通知乙方终止合同。若在合同预定翻译任务完成后，乙方另需甲方提供翻译服务，则双方就合同的各项条款另行商定。

九、双方如遇到非人为因素而导致不能履行合同或有未尽事宜，应及时协商解决。

十、双方应恪守本合同。如有违约，违约方应承担本合同约定的和国家有关法规规定的赔偿责任。因对本合同有异议或在履行本合同过程中产生争议，双方应友好协商解决，协商不成的，任何一方均有权提请___________仲裁，仲裁是终局性的，对合同双方都有约束力。

Hi, my name’s Harry, H-a-r-r-y, Harry. It’s such a pleasure for me to introduce myself to you.

I’ll soon graduate from Guangzhou University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. As a student, my major is International Economics and Trade, I like it a lot, and I’ve got a pretty good academic performance. My English grade ranks NO.2 in the class of 55 students, and my classmates would always like me to give English speeches in class.

For the professional courses I learnt, some impressed me most, like the ones “Marketing” and “International Business Negotiation”, both teachers gave me high compliments in front of class which then encouraged me a lot and I appreciated it by putting more efforts into studying.

Well, for one thing I’m most proud of, is my English performance. I got 100 full marks once in “The University English 4”, and got As in oral tests. Plus that I’m tall and white, many people may say that I’m a foreigner. Well, I was an English DJ in a broadcast station back to high school, and I also worked as an English translator in the Canton Fair once. So here I would like to say that my English ability is fully competent to the position applied.

Besides having a good academic performance, I was actively involved in student activities. First, I was in charge of Class Athletics member of committee. Then I joined the Debate Team, and meanwhile I also joined the New Oriental English Club in our school. For my outgoing personality, I served as Communication Department director in both departments and dedicated my hard work to both teams. During my tenure, I learnt co-working and enjoyed lots of fun there.

Outside the campus I did some practice jobs. I had a two month internship in Shenzhen Glory Trading Cooperation a month ago. I worked as

a sales assistant, I did the inventory check, helped my comates to make the auditing reports, and in spare time I also made phone calls to cell our products. My boss was pleased with my performance and he asked me to recommend my classmates to join our team.

Another internship was in China Unicom Cooperation, Guangzhou Branch. Our job was to promote mobile phone cards to freshmen in South China Normal University. It came out that the activation rate of the released new cards surpassed 90%, and because of that our team was rewarded 1000 yuan by our company.

Lastly, let me tell you a bit of my interests. I recently play table tennis a lot, because I like the feeling that “one strike in a hole”. And I also like swimming, singing karaoke, watching U.S. TV shows and friends gathering. I keep the habit of learning English by reading and practicing, and I enjoy reading foreign books, especially books on Psychology. For example, “The Road Less Travelled”, it tells us to face the problems straightly and solve them at the first place they appear.

I have to say that your company is my ideal company. What’s more, I have great interests in joining your sales department; it’s so like a dream job to me.
