位于香山东麓，原名碧云庵，始建于元代，为西山风景区中最完整的一座寺院，颇像西湖的灵隐寺。

全寺面积4万平方米，内有罗汉堂、孙中山纪念堂、水泉院、金刚宝座塔等名胜。寺里风景秀丽，松柏参天。山门外边是一座悬空石桥，沟旁高槐大柳，沟底水声潺潺，四季不涸。门前有一双颇负盛名的石狮子。

从山门到寺顶共分六层。山门内的中轴线上有四层大殿，殿后两厢是生动高大、威武勇猛的哼哈二将。前殿是胖乎乎的弥勒佛。中间为释迦牟尼殿。殿内有雕饰精美的金龙藻井、金色蟠龙，正中是释迦牟尼讲经时的雕像，周围是他的门徒和罗汉。

No one can imagine what our life would be like if we ran out of water. Many people ignore the fact that they waste a lot of water in their daily life. For example, people tend to do something else while the tap is still on or even forget to turn off the tap after using it.

Not until recently did people realize the serious water shortage. It is universally acknowledged that severe water pollution and waste result in water shortage. Therefore, it is high time that the public raised their awareness of saving water resources. In my opinion, we must take effective measures to deal with this problem. For one thing, population should be controlled and more sewage treatment facilities should be established to purify the polluted water. For another, it is our responsibility to develop a good habit to save water in our daily life.

各位朋友，景山由五座山峰组成，髙43米，为旧时北京城内的制高点，东、西、北三面砌有爬山磴道。山顶五亭建于清乾隆十五年(公元1750年)，造型优美，秀丽壮观。居于中峰的叫万春亭，是一座方形、三重檐、四角攒尖式的黄琉璃瓦亭，宏伟壮观。其两侧是两座双重檐、八角形、绿琉璃瓦亭，东侧的名叫周赏，西侧的称为富览。两亭外侧还有两座圆形、重檐蓝琉璃瓦亭，东为观妙，西为辑芳。旧时，每座亭内均设有铜铸佛像一尊，统叫五位神，又有代表甘、辛、苦、酸、咸的五味神之称。1900年，被八国联军掠走四尊、砸毁一尊(万春亭中的毗卢遮那佛h五亭矗立山脊，中高侧低,主从分明，左右对称。更兼梁柱飞金，顶瓦映彩，绿树环合，蓝天相衬，构成一幅壮阔、精美的画图i游人至此，必奋力登攀，以一睹首都壮丽迷人的无限风光为快慰!

March 15, 20xx, Xiamen, China. My phone rang the moment when I stepped into themain entrance of our condominium. It was my 68-year-old mum. She said, “your dad and I are now at the boarding gate, but we couldn’t find your dad’s bag, which contains his IC and a few thousand dollars”. Just 35 minutes back, I saw my dadand mum off at the airport. They were about to board a domestic flight toPudong where they would join my sister to fly to Toronto and stay there for another one year. A couple of days before that, I purposely went back to Xiamen, my hometown to see my parents off. I asked my parents to board the airplane first and I would make a second trip to airport and fetch my dad’s bag home. We were so fortunate that my mum kept the passports of both in her handbag.I quickly called the airport and got to the team in charge of security check.They found the bag and verified my identity.

I grew up in a very small country town in Victoria. I had a very normal, low-key kind of upbringing. I went to school, I hung out with my friends, I fought with my younger sisters. It was all very normal. And when I was 15, a member of my local community approached my parents and wanted to nominate me for a community achievement award. And my parents said, "Hm, thats really nice, but theres kind of one glaring problem with that. She hasnt actually achieved anything."And they were right, you know. I went to school, I got good marks, I had a very low-key after school job in my mums hairdressing salon, and I spent a lot of time watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Dawsons Creek." Yeah, I know. What a contradiction. But they were right, you know. I wasnt doing anything that was out of the ordinary at all. I wasnt doing anything that could be considered an achievement if you took disability out of the equation.

the four classical gardens of suzhou are the surging waves pavilion.the lion grove garden garden .the humble administratorgarden.the lingering garden.in a nutshell ,represent the different architectural styles of song.yuan.ming.qing dynasties.

my friends, now we are in the lingering garden. it is located in liuyuan road, suzhou city. it was built by xutaishi in ming dynasty. at that time it was named eastern garden.

there are three treasures in the lingering garden. the first treasure are stones.the stone in front of us is the most distinguishing stone "guangyun peak". with a weight of 5 tons and a height of 6.5 meters, it is one of the four wonderful stones in the regions of the yangtze.

the calligrapher and painter mifu in song dynasty sum up the features of lake tai stones as the following: slender ,wrinkling , leaking , penetrating. just take the "guangyun peak" as an example and you will have some idea about the features of the stones. in addition, it is endowed with the personal characters of faithfulness because of its nature of stiffness and unchangeable outlook. thus it has been worshipped by people since old time.

the second treasure is "five peak fairy hall" "five peaks fairy hall" gets the reputation of "the first hall in the regions of yangtze" . the name comes from the lines of the great poet libai. the four chinese characters on the plaque were written by wuda---the famous calligrapher. nanmu hall used to be the place for important banquets and ceremonies, such as birthday parties, weddings , funerals .

the hall is divided into two sections__the south section and the north section. the south section host male guests, while the south section host female guests.

the hall is elegantly designed with oversized windows on east and west sides . through the windows, the outside sceneries of the two courtyards can be extended as parts of the hall, thus to ensure enough lights into the building.

five peaks fairy hall was built out of luxury materials. beams and pillars are all nanmu, which is a kind of timber only produced in china. that is also the reason why "five peaks fairy hall" is also commonly called "nanmu hall".

the "fossil fish" we are enjoying is the third treasure of lingering garden. it is a natural marble picture. in the middle of the picture are the clutters of mountains which are partly hidden and partly visible; below are flowing streams,above are floating clouds; right on the middle top is a round white spot like a sun or a moon.it is a picture drawn by the nature. the marble stone has a diameter of 1 meter or so and a thickness of 15 mms . it was produced in diancang mountain, yunnan province. it is a wonder how such big a stone was delivered in a good condition from yunnan which is over one thousand mile away from suzhou.

china is most famous for its elegant classical gardens.

最佳旅游时间天安门地处北京，属暖温带半湿润大陆性季风气候，夏季高温多雨，冬季寒冷干燥，适合春秋旅游。历史文化天安门始建于明永乐十五年(1420xx年)，原名“承天门”，取“承天启运”、“受命于天”之意。清顺治八年(1651年)，改建为“天安门”，取“受命天”、“安邦治民”之意。明清五百年间,天安门是新帝登基、皇后册封而颁诏天下的地方，是皇帝金殿传胪、招贤取士的场所，也是皇帝出征赴太庙祭祖的必经之路，对老百姓来说，它是拒人千里之外的禁区。直到1920xx年辛亥革命以后，宫廷广场两侧紧闭的大门自然而倒，东西长安街变成交通畅行的要道。

That night I returned to Singapore. I didn’t think it was a big deal as my father was 73 years old at the time and old people were supposed to forgetful, until the next day when I called my mum. Over the phone she told me that on the flight to Toronto, three of them sat side byside, with my father sitting in the middle. All of a sudden, my father looked at my sister but totally couldnt recognize her, he asked my mum, "what is the name of this young lady and why is she so nice to us"? The moment when he said this, my sister burst into tears. At that time, we haven’t heard of a disease called Alzheimers, but we realized we were starting to lose our dad day by day from that turning point.

Fast forward to September 20xx, my father has been with a nursing home in Xiamen for close to 4 years. He is very skinny butstill survives, thanks to the professional care provided there. Over the years I flew back to visit him from time to time. He couldn’t tell my name but Icould tell that he probably knew I am someone important for him, as he always grabbedmy hands tightly.
